Initial Consultation.

We pride ourselves on listening to our customers’ needs and requirements because the Kitchen is for you not us. It is supported by our years of design experience within the furniture Industry with added inspirations to create a beautiful kitchen to suit your home and lifestyle.

We set our 1st Design Measure Appointment in the comfort of your home to discuss all options and get a feel of your living space and how to incorporate your new kitchen. Within this meeting we carry out initial conversations to gauge an idea what you are looking for. We collate as much information as we can including room dimensions, window and door positioning etc. and sometimes take some photos to support our design process.

Before booking an appointment, there are a few things we will ask you to consider. Firstly, visit one of our showrooms if you can or search through our portfolio for ideas so you can discuss these options with our designer. Secondly, send us a copy of your building plans if you are carrying out any building works, extensions or new builds so we can plan ahead and draw out the room layout plan before the Appointment. Thirdly, put together a wish list of requirements for your new kitchen i.e … Appliances required, Island sizes and purposes of use, kitchen door style and finishes, worktops colours and materials, where you like to sit within the room and anything else you feel tat would suit your lifestyle within the new kitchen layout.

Design.

Our designers transform your requirements and our design ideas into reality with 3D virtual walkthrough, you will be able to see exactly how your new Kitchen works and looks. We also put together an itemized professional quotation outlining all costs and furniture requirements.

Design Showroom Appointment.

This is the next stage Appointment where we present our designs and layouts to yourselves within our showroom, we take time out together to discuss all proposed ideas and design layout including discussing finished doors, colour finishes and worktops etc….. at this stage we also present a full itemized quotation of the kitchen designed and installation options. If at this stage you are happy with our design, pricing and service provided by Kitchens of Altrincham we then take a securing deposit to confirm yourselves as a customer and schedule a surveyor to check over the whole design for installation and manufacturing purposes before confirming a delivery and installation date.

Surveying.

The role of our kitchen surveyor is crucial in terms of making sure your dream kitchen not only looks great but fits and functions perfectly.

A kitchen survey does not simply entail, as many people believe, running a tape measure around the existing kitchen to check it all fits. We, of course, will do this prior to installing your new kitchen but this detailed check is much more involved hence why we recommend clients allow 1 – 2 hours for a full survey.

Our surveyor will not only ensure the furniture fits but will also make sure the design works in practice, is functional and contains all the elements you need. Our surveyor will check and confirm with you every last detail about your new kitchen. This includes confirming your unit choices and their positioning (as illustrated in the cad elevations you will have already received) as well as the colours and finishes of the units. The appliances will also be checked through their codes and confirmed with you one by one. If at this stage, you have not yet chosen your appliances then now is a great opportunity for the surveyor to give advice and make recommendations.

We also double check worktop joints, colours, profiles, upstands & splashbacks (If required) are also confirmed at this point and the surveyor will also check on the positioning of features which may not have been removed yet (e.g. walls) or are due to be built such as windows, pillars and doors. This is to ensure that, for example, your new internal door in the kitchen space will not clash with the end run of your kitchen units or that your new pillar will not affect the design of the units.

Having completed this thorough check you can sit back and relax knowing that every aspect of your new kitchen is going to meet – if not exceed – your high expectations of the Kitchens of Altrincham Team. If you’re looking for a leading kitchen showroom in Cheshire, ours is designed with a variety of contemporary, modern and tailor made kitchens and our professional staff are there to guide your shopping experience.
